Shikai Abilities:
Amaterasu can drain the opponents' stamina to replenish Amami in case she is wounded if she slashes her opponent.
Amaterasu is an ice based zanpakuto and shoots small projectiles of ice at the opponent.
Bankai Appearance: Amaterasu in Bankai looks like it's shikai form except, like Rukia's zanpakuto, it's blade and hilt are pure white.
Bankai Abilities:
Amaterasu produces temporary numbness upon impact, disguising the damage dealt by subsequent blows. Amaterasu also gains a physical form and hides in a dark mist that, if Amami wants, will shroud her completely making it difficult for her opponent to attack her accurately.
Zanpakuto Spirit:
Amaterasu looks like this except without the wings and the extra wolves coming off of it.
Zanpakuto's Personality:
Amaterasu personality is very similar to Amami's. He enjoys watching her torture her opponents in battle. He is extremely critical of everything she does and has absolutely no sense of tact.
Combat Prowess:
Amami excel's in offensive kidou doing kidou well into the 60's. She is also an expert in flash step and has above average swordsmanship skills.
- Inner World -
Amami's inner world is an extremely cold valley covered with feet of snow with a large iced over pond. In the distance is a large cave which is were Amaterasu resides.
- The Three Dimensions Of A Character -
Appearance:
Amami looks exactly like this except her hair is always pulled back in a neat bun.
Personality:
Amami is a very serious person, and its no surprise that she would take her duties as captain seriously to. She is ferociously loyal to Soul Society and will quickly pick up her sword to defend it and will put down any threat against it. Amami's a very cold and sadistic person and loves to torture her opponents before killing them. She does usually by cutting off limbs and stabbing organs to induce incredible pain. However, she only torture's those who she is forced to fight and knows that they are weaker than her. If they are a strong opponent, such as an Espada, she focus solely on killing them. Amami due to her cold nature can also seem very detached and has no sense of tact what so ever. She will tell you exactly how it is whether your above her or not. She is also a very determined person and will go after anything she wants putting all her energy into it.
History:
Amami in the real world grew up in the northern part of Japan. She loved everything about the colder climate especially the snow and ice. Amami was a famous ice skater back when she was living. However, all though she loved the sport she was pressured by her parents to excel. They would often cut out anything that didn't pertain to her going to the Olympics even school in some cases. This lead to Amami becoming anti-social and detached to other people. Since she was so detached to other people she had no idea how to relate to people causing her to have no friends and very lonely. However, her parents ambitions of her reaching the Olympics would go unfulfilled. A few weeks after her seventeenth birthday she was found shot in the head during a tournament before her performance. She had been murdered by one of her jealous and bitter rivals in the sport.
Amami was dumped into the poorest district of Rokungai after her death. She soon realized that to murder and steal were the only way to survive in the district. Amami after realizing how she died was filled with great hatred and bitterness that she had no problems about murdering other individuals of the same district and stealing their belongings to survive which is were she started becoming a sadist saying "Kill one man and it becomes easier to kill ten. Kill ten and it becomes easier to kill a hundred. Kill a hundred and it becomes easier to kill a thousand." While she was in Rokugai she joined a local gang who went around daily beating and murdering people taking their valuables for money and rose quickly in it's ranks. She even became it's leader after she brutally murdered the previous leader. Eventually, Amami became bored with murdering the people in the district and after realizing she had a large amount of reitsu enrolled herself in the Shinigami Academy.
Amami showed great promise in flash step and Kidou eventually doing kidou well into the 60s. Amami was a great academy student with her receiving top marks in all her classes revealing that she would be a great shinigami once she graduated. During the academy Amami was looked down harshly because of which district she was from. The entire student body of the academy was frightened of her and did their best to avoid her. Years later she graduated and was placed in the Gotei 13's 5th division. The Academy new that due her history that could potentially become dangerous to Soul Society and decided to keep close taps on her after she graduated.
After graduating the Academy Amami was placed in the 5th division as an unseated officer. However, Amami was extremely annoyed being sent to the real world to dispose of low level hollow. As soon as she returned to Soul Society Amami quickly worked on becoming a ranked officer in her division and given the honor of the 5th seat. How she became the division's 5th seat however is quit a mystery since no onone know's what became of it's former 5th seat. After becoming it's 5th seat Amami worked on achieving Bankai and training and rose in the division becoming its 3rd seat a few years later. Years later after she became 3rd seat Amami achieved bankai and challenged the division's captain for the title. Amami won the battle killing the previous captain after releasing her Bankai which no one knew at the time that she had achieved it.
