Shikai Appearance: Changes from a normal katana into a five tailed black and silver whip. The ends of the tails are spiked and covered in a bronze flame. The tails can reach up to seven feet in front of the user.
Shikai Abilities: Chiyomaru can cause earthquakes when the tails strike the ground at a certain height or with a certain amount of force.

Personality: Kinji is a rather hard headed individual. He is almost always getting into some argument with some one or something. Although for this flaw he is very fun loving and loves to poke fun at his captain. He finds a whole lot of merriment in the reactions she has to his pranks. He is a good sword fighter and can use a moderate amount of Kido.
History:

Kinji's human life started out on a dark rainy night. He was born to a young prostitute named, Jinko. Fearing that the child would be a burden to the life she had chosen she wrapped him up and wandered out into the rain to get rid of him. After wandering for hours she found an old cabin carefully she placed the newborn Kinji in front of the door and escaped back into the night never to be seen again. The next morning he was discovered by the owners of the cabin, a newly married couple, Shita and Kenji Obana. The two adopted Kinji and gave him his name. He had a mostly loving and carefree child hood, until the day he turned seventeen. On this day he was told by who he though were his parents that they were in fact strangers who he had been forced upon. Angerly he stormed from the house he shared with them and started the fruitless search for the parents who had abandoned him. Two years into his search he was mistaken for a woman that apparently lived in the village he had stopped in. Curious he made his way to the brothel where he ran into an older, female version of himself. Stunned he stood there and stared at the mother he had never seen in all his life. He had barely uttered the word mother when Jinko grabbed the nearest sharp object and stabbed him to death.
*Soul Reaper*
The next thing Kinji knew he was inside the soul society and was a little hazy on what had happened before he had gotten where he was. After being in one of the districts for a while he decided to go to the academy. It didn't take him long to get used to the whole soul reaper thing and he graduated in the middle ranking of his class. When he was originally placed in the 10th squad it was as a non seated member of the squad. However after a few adjustments to his abilities he was bumped up to 4th seat.
