Zanpaktou name: Kuroneko
Zanpaktou appearance: Kuroneko is a green-handled nodachi with a handle that is about two and a half feet and a blade about three and a half feet. It has a thin, green and white tassel attached to the back of the handle and no guard.
Shikai Release Call: Light my way, Kuroneko!
Shikai Appearance: In his first release, Kuroneko takes the form of a lamp with a long chain attached to a dull sickle.
Shikai Abilities: When swinging the lamp, Erian can control the light in her environment. From producing lasers to momentarily changing the patterns of the light around her and creating illusions. The steadier the swinging, the more powerful the illusions are.
Bankai Appearance: In his Bankai form, Kuroneko covers several meters around Erian in bright, white light. In the Bankai release, she gains a black hoodie and her eyes turn golden the whites of her eyes turn black.
Bankai Abilities: All light inside this 'Field of Vision' is entirely controlled by Erian. Not a photon moves without her consent. She has total mastery over temperature and light patterns, and can create holograms, lasers, and things of that sort. Erian is left otherwise defensless, however.
Zanpakuto Spirit: Kuroneko is... A black cat (Yes, I suck with names). A lamp hangs from his tail and the whites of his eyes are black while his irises glow eerily yellow. He is a very serious and monotone person unless you present him with sweets. Then he can get about as happy and shiny as Erian.
Combat Prowess:
Erian has achieved her Shikai and is quite a gifted acrobat. She is less-than-average at Kidou, for her rank, and fights using her sheathed sword as an aid to her acrobatics.
- Inner World -
A warmly lit and atmospheric festival grounds during the night. It is colored of reds and oranges and lamps are hung everywhere.

Appearance:
Erian is a tall young woman with long blue hair done up with yellow barrettes. Her big blue eyes are covered by round glasses and her nose is just a little big. If you ever see her, she may very well be sucking on a lollipop, or whatever candy she may be craving at the moment. Her less-than-slim face is dotted with a few freckles as well. She dresses in the standard Shinigami attire when on duty, but doesn't like it much. She wears a variety of clothes when out in the human world, where she likes to go with Haru (Whether he likes it or not), including plenty of multi-colored flared skirts and a black jacket with blue pinstripes.
Her figure is only slightly slim, though she does have a noticeable amount of fat, and she is actually quite strong, physically. She is an expert gymnast, after all.
Personality: Erian is a bit of a shiny happy person. She is addicted to sugar and needs a near-constant intake, lest she go through withdrawal symptoms. Erian especially loves Butterscotch and will never share that or her Twizzlers with anybody. Ever. Besides Haru. Haru is the exception. Her two other great loves in life are books and women. Indeed, she is quite romantically minded and views books as the greatest things to ever exist. She spends all her time when she's not working in the library either hitting on whatever poor girl she has her sights set on for the week, in the mortal world pilfering candy off children, or in the library, building book forts.
She is afraid of blood. Very afraid of blood. Just the sight will paralyze her, so she never draws her sword. Instead, she uses her sheathed sword to enhance her acrobatics. She loves to jump around and 'converse' with (Read: Annoy the living hell out of) her opponent. She hates children and will snap at and bully them any chance she gets. She thinks they're creepy ("Those thing come out of people!?") and simply can't stand the sight of them.
History:
Erian was born in Wales in the mid-1800s. She had always been a rebel from the day she was born and very much a chatterbox. These traits did not fit in with her aristocratic status a the daughter of a very successful print publisher, so she was often treated as the black sheep of her five-member immediate family.
By her early teens, she had taken to drinking and horseback joyrides and behavior that was "uncompromisingly irrational", as her father put it. He turned a blind eye when her three brothers did similar, though. She was a wild child, through and through, and no small thing such as authority could bring her down.
And then she died. After she had been married off to a wealthy business-man and then shot in a botched assassination of said wealthy businessman, she lingered around her family for a few years before a Shinigami performed Soul Burial on her.
She lived in Soul society for a about fifty years, not really doing much of anything besides trying to survive and practicing the manipulation of Reiryoku until she decided to get into the Academy. She was better-than average at everything but refused to use a sharp sword, in fear that she might cut her opponent. Because of this, and the poor swordsmanship grades that it caused, she was placed on the ninth squad. Erian quickly showed herself to be a great asset to the 5th squad as a very speedy messenger (despite her slightly destructive tendencies to bump into people and/or cause horrible accidents in her haste) and quickly climbed through the ranks.
