Killing some Hollows [Open]

Toushiro walked down the hall as everyone rushed to class,he was in no hurry for which he had finish all the work he missed at Soul Society,as he reached the class he went inside and went into the back and sat down in his corner seat.As he sat their he listened to the teacher and take down normal notes,even though he didn't need any,as he sat their bored as hell the cell had beeped,his eyes clocked down on the cell,he quickly got it out of his pocket and flipped it open.

"A hollow,its not far from this school"he thought he looked at the teacher for a moment then at everyone else "Guess its up to me then"he thought,he quickly jumped out of his human body and rushed out of the class,he ran in the hall ways till he had reached the doors,pushing them open,as soon as he was out he jumped onto a huge building. he ran and jumped from one building to another,as he reached town he could see the hollow,his face showed no emotions to this,when he reached to the hollow he stood their facing it "You hollows are starting to become very annoying"he spoke,the hollow made a loud noise,as it stood their.

It soon swung its huge hand at Toushiro when it reached him Toushiro used his hand and blocked the hollow from crushing him,he quickly grabbed his sword raising it up "Ryusenka,Dragon Hail Flower"he spoke,the sky grew dark and cold in town,when it did Toushiro quickly pushed the hollow arm up,jumping out of the way, he quickly jumped at it and stabbed it in the center.

He land down onto the sidewalk and watch the hollow quickly turn into ice,once his Bankai had complete he quickly jumped at it and sliced the hollow down in half,quickly he landed on his feet and turned his head at the hollow, it slid in half then soon vanished.Once it was all over the darkness went away,Toushiro looked around the town for a moment,he soon turned around and walked on the sidewalk with his sword in his hand,he soon placed it back,and just kept walking,he new sooner or later soul reapers would come down to check out with the hollow he had killed.[/i]

These gigai's are sooooo uncomfortable...but they have really cute clothes!

It was a quiet afternoon in Karakura Town, which was a surprise seeing as Arrancars were a common sight now a day. This was the reason behind the presence of the captain of the ninth division. The Head Captain believed that it would take more than just a handful of soul reapers to handle this problem and with a captain on board the situation could be handled quickly. So that was what Kohana Suzuki was doing on the fine spring day...waiting. Just waiting for a hollow to come or an Arrancar to come...

Why was I so unfortunate enough to be picked for this job? Because I'm the new captain and I have to prove myself? I couldn't say no...I'd insult the Head Captain, and I can't do that...

The battle raged on in her mind. She had a duty as a captain to exterminate any Hollow or Arrancar that crossed her path, but she had a duty to herself to not kill anyone except for self defense. It was her position versus her morals, both were equally dear to her.

Maybe I could reason with the enemy...encourage them to just go back to Hueco Mundo where they belong...probably wouldn't work though...

Kohana sighed and rested her head back against the tree, her eyes gazing up at the late afternoon sun. She had been leaning there in the small park for hours, a cup of tea was her only companion. A few people had walked by, but no one paid any notice to her, which was fine with her. Kohana was not the social type, she wasn't one to just walk over to random people and start talking.

...maybe if I'm lucky, there won't be any hollows....

BEEP! BEEP!

So much for luck...

Her cell phone beeped. Kohana sighed and pulled it out. A Hollow was roaming around near the local high school. She stood up from where she was leaning and looked around for a moment. It was so beautiful in the tiny clearing, the trees were just finishing the last of their blooms, replacing the petals with green leaves. A soft, cool breeze blew through, making the branches dance. Kohana brushed the hair from her eyes and looked one of the leafy trees over. In seconds she had scaled it , climbing up to the bushiest part. Once there, she released herself from her gigai in a flash of earth green reatsui and flower petals and, after making sure it was well hidden, jumped down from her hiding spot. In a flash step she was off to take care of the hollow, but she was unaware of the weather pattern taking a strange turn...

"What..."

Kohana Suzuki stood in mid air over Karakura Town. Her head was bowed and her eyes were scanning the little phone in her hands. The flashing dot that had indicated the hollow had disappeared.

That was fast...was another soul reaper nearby and took care of it? Well, on less reason for me to feel guilty...I better check it out anyway though...

She sighed and headed down in the direction of where the hollow had taken its last breath. The wind had grown fierce, bone chilling, causing tears to trickle down her cheeks. Kohana pulled her captain robes and the flower pattered one underneath closer to her as she dived downward. When she reached the area, she stopped over it in the air.

"What happened here...?"

Her voice was just a soft whisper and was quickly swept away by the wind. Ice covered the area, shards scattered everywhere. Like wise, a strong reatsui radiated off everything. Kohana looked around until she found the source of the ice. A solitary figure walked down the street, his hair was as white as snow and he appeared to be only a child...he gave off the same spiritual pressure. But that was not the strangest thing that caused Kohana to look down at him with mild surprise in her eyes. For this child was wearing captain's robes just like her...

As Toushiro walked he had felt someones spiritual pressure which was very close,he turned his head around and looked at the corner of his eye seeing a female hover in the sky,she had wear a captains robe,it was funny for which he didn't know her she must have been a new captain or something.He slowly turned around and stared at her with his green eyes,he kept silent for just a moment "Are you a new captain"he spoke,curious on the fact that they had never met before "No worries I had taken care of the hollow"he spoke, he looked at her for just a moment till he heard screams,a man had robbed a womens purse,which of coarse the guy was heading his direction.

Toushiro had shown an annoyed look on his face "Why do they must interrupt in a conversation"he thought to him self when the guy came close he stuck his foot out a little,when the guy came he tripped falling face first,once he had fallen to the ground people gathered around him,one had taken the purse and taken it back to the old lady,as the rest held him down till police came. Their voices grew very annoying he flew up to the new captain,getting away from all the crazy situations,when he stood in front of her he waited for a response.

Toushiro was the type to keep his conversation short and simple,for which in his words he had no time to talk,he had to keep guard and made sure no hollows were running about and killing humans.Hollows had always worked his nerves they weren't much fun to fight maybe because they weren't all that strong to him hollows took up his time,which was why he killed them quickly,as he stood their he felt the vibration of the cell,looking down at his pocket,he took it out and flipped it open someone had send-ed him a message "You have paper works to finish up Captain"the message had said.

"I had almost forgot about them papers"he thought to himself "I guess when I get back ill have to finish it all up my self,if those papers don't get done ill have more work to do"he spoke in a low voice to him self,he flipped the phone closed and placed it in his pocket once more,he soon looked up at the girl,who was probably older than him, he was 15 and looked 14 some say 13.They one thing he had really hate was being called a kid or a elementary student.

As he waited he could here the sirens down below them,he looked at the corner of his eye seeing that they had caught the man,as he watched he felt the cell vibrate again,once again his face turned annoyed."What is it now"he thought,he quickly took it out and opened it"Captain,their has been word that two hollows have been sneaking about near the park at night while your down their can you check it outthe message had said."Hmm two hollows,I wonder why th"ey would be at the park at night"he thought,his face filled with curiosity,he shook the thought quickly,he placed the phone back inside his pocket,and looked at the female,waiting for her to speak "I guess it wouldn't hurt to have her come tag a long this night shift"he thought to him self.[/i]

Kohana Suzuki matched the young captain's gaze with her steady bergundy-brown eyes. The wind, that had so suddenly become brutal, had finally begun to die down to a gentle breeze. It played with her long, brown hair and her haori, billowing them around her small figure. The sky began to clear, the grey storm clouds faded and floated away to reveal a blue sky. Kohana looked down at the boy thoughtfully, holding her left arm at the elbow with her right hand, it was a common position for her when she felt eyes boring into her own.

"Y-yes, I am... M-my name is Kohana...Kohana Suzuki, c-captain of the nineth division..."

Her voice was as soft and gentle as fine silk, she tried to keep it steady and ring with the authority the captain's position holds. This proved harder than it sounded. She didn't move, caution still kept her on her guard. This captain...she had never met him before, or seen him before for that matter. Kohana had no real reason for being on edge, this child was a captain after all, but if another hollow comes along she wasn't about to let it take a swipe at her,

I just hope none will come...this kid, he let off a lot of spiritual
energy, enough to draw a hollow...or even a Arrancar...

She bit her lip nervously, and looked down at the ground below her, worry filling her heart. Her gaze fell over the seen unfolding before her. Theft, murder, rape, it was common in the World of the Living. Kohana watched, shocked, as the young captain tripped the theif. He had a good heart, it was true, but it wnet against orders from the Head Captain. Any shinigami who traveled to the World of the Living was to follow orders and, when completed, wait for the next one or come back to the Soul Society. It was the life of a soul reaper to finish the job and not get involved in matters of the Living.

Kohana took a few steps back as he flew up before her. As he flew up she notice the back of his captain's robes. It was difficult at first, since the breeze was making then billow arround like giant waves, but she could just make out the number,

So this is the captain of the eighth division... I've heard of him, but we have never met...Toushirou Hitsugaya...

At first she was still and silent, watching him with carefull eyes as he checked his cell phone. He seemed...old, too mature for his appearance. Kohana could tell from his facial expression that he wasn't the social type. He also appeared to be the type you don't just meet and then start rebuking him for using bankai on a hollow which will probably result in just attracting more or getting involved in matters of the World of the Living...

"A-as a captain you probably already know...we are not s-suppose to get involved in m-matters of the World of the Living...though it was really nice...what you did down there..."

Her voice was so timid, he probably didn't even hear her. She paused for a moment. Her gaze dropped from his pale face to the ice-coved ground just below her. From the amount of spiritual energy coming off the melting ice she could tell he had used a high-powered Bankai move. With all this energy, a hollow...or worse, an Arrancar...could come. They could endanger citizens of Karakura Town. She hesitated, and brought her gaze back to him.

"A-and was using Bankai r-really necessary? You finished it quickly which is really good...but you may attract more hollows and that would p-put people in d-danger..."

Kohana found herself rambling on. Her voice was so quiet it sounded more like she was talking to herself rather than to him...

Oh, what am I thinking?! Correcting a captain that has held his postion for longer than I have?!... It was out of my place to say something like that to him...he'll probably yell at me or glare with those peircing green eyes of his...oh boy, I'll end up crying or something stupid like that!! Oh man...

Toushiro looked at her as she spoke,her name was Kohana Suzuki,captain of the ninth division, it shocked him how she had such a low voice,it was soft but fragile to.Toushiro had that deep but calm tone to him he never had a reason to raise his voice at any one,he looked at her for a moment she seemed very nervous,maybe cause how he had such strong spirit pressure,or maybe she worried if a hollow or an Arrancar came,he didn't know but she sure had that nervous but scared look to her.As Toushiro stood their he watched her reactions carefully,she seemed shy,sweet,more of a lover than a fighter,which kind of explained why she had that nervous and scared look on her face,he looked down once more at the people his face blank as if the wind blew his expression away,but it didn't thats how he always was.

When Kohana spoke he looked at her,he listened very carefully for which her voice had blended in with the wind from what she was saying,it seemed she new the soul society pretty well,usually first timers didn't, she was a very smart captain.When she finished speaking he looked at her with his green eyes "If I attracted any more hollows I would have taken care of it,I killed it quickly for which I have no time to play games or to slowly kill a hollow as if it were fun to torture them"he spoke in calm tone,"The reason why I got involved with that situation was because they had interrupted me while speaking,which of coarse annoys me and its very rude to do that"he spoke with a calm tone.

He looked at her with silence "I'm glad to see that someone knows the rules in Soul Society usually they ignore them"he spoke, he was silent once more,"Kohana you don't have to worry about me being a mean captain like some are,I show every captain respect"he spoke.He was silent once again,he looked over to were the sun was, it slowly went down and became a sunset,he could remember when him and MoMo sat on the porch and ate watermelons during the sunset,but that was when he was little though, everything changed ever since he went to Soul Society.

He shook the thought and looked over at Kohana "May I ask,why do you have a low voice your the first captain with a voice that low,its fine with me I was just curious"he spoke,true her voice was like a mothers tone if that a true angel,it had been years since he heard a soft voice."I'm guessing you have heard of me before,usually when their is a new captain they give out info on each captain just so they don't feel left out,unless they changed it"he spoke,he looked at her for a moment then looked over at the sunset "Its almost time to go and check out the park....why must hollows be annoying"he thought just thinking about it made him irritated a bit,but he shook it off and went back to Kohana.He waited for her to speak,after this conversation was over he would ask her if she would like to join on his little night shift,if not it was fine with him.

He couldnt believe he was talking to her for this long,maybe because his curiousity kept him here,she was new and the most important thing was to learn about a new about the weakness and strenght and some what their personality.It didnt bother him having to stay here and talk to her,it was that he just had more things to do than talk which was why he was so antisocial to everyone,he only had one bond and it was with Momo she was like his bestfriend if not a sister to him,he never really trusted people,he always did everything by him self alone.[/i]
