Okay, first thing's first, the header table.

I think the space here could be used a lot more effectively than we are using it right now. As it is, the Shinigami and Espada are highlighted and no other groups are mentioned. We could easily move that table to a thread in the Character Application forum and it would be much easier to edit and update.

The MOTM and COTM fields aren't even being used, so we can easily get rid of that and make room for character ratios, needed canons, current plots and the like.

The side-bar is also underutilized. I say we move the COTM and MOTM there and also put something like a staff-chosen 'quote of the month' or 'thread of the month', to encourage interesting IC interaction.

Also, I've seen in-character chatboxes in other RPs places and I think that could really go over well here. Just a thought.

EDIT - Oh, and if I may come up with a new Rules post? If that's okay, I'll post them here to be looked over by you guys.

Okay, LimeOn, what kind of rules do you want? What sort of ideals? Any specifics? I'll run the drafts by you and you can edit it to your desire.

Alright, I wrote up some rules. Whatcha think?

[1] This is an account-per-player site. Please use one account and post with it for all your characters.

[2] Do not start RPing with a character until its character sheet has been accepted.

[3] Original characters are allowed to take any untaken position. A poorly played canon carries just as much importance in the game as a poorly played original. We don't put canons or original characters on a pedestal.

[4] RPing is not serious business. Just because a character may say or do something you find offensive, or rude, or whatever, does not give you the right to hate/flame/bid ill will toward the player in any way, shape, or form.

[5] Please don't take characters that are already being played. We have a canon list that you can check. If the canon was previously taken, but the player has given them up, then please respect any past events that the character has been involved in if you choose to take them.

[6] Do not post any offensive images or text. This includes but is not limited to racial or sexual slurs, pornography, excessive gore or nudity in images, and so on. We would like this board to remain at a PG-13 level or lower content level at all times. This includes, but is more lenient in, the RP boards.

[7] We are an all-levels RPG. Anybody, from RP newbies to veterans, can play here.

[8] However, one-line RP posts are not acceptable as RP posts.

[9] Gomoding (taking control of another player's character without permission) and powerplaying ( playing as if your character is invincible or infallible) are not okay.

And how about, instead of the COTM and MOTM, we have a fortnightly spotlight like I do in my Gunnerkrigg Court RPG? This way it would be less work and not be restrained to one category.

At least you're nice. I have met so many admins elsewhere that don't do anything and are also intolerably mean and uncompromising about the entire site. It seems contradictory, but it's true.
