Shikai Abilities: Ryuujin has the power to attract energy. Most of the energy comes from Kumori's aura or soul. So with every attack Kumori is firing his soul at the enemy. The closer Kumori is to death the more energy he has to fire making every attack even stronger. The down side to this is that it will drain Kumori of all his energy very quickly and it will take twice as long to heal.

Bankai Abilities:
In bankai Kumori's aura is increased greatly and is a lot stronger.
Kumori fuses his aura with his armor this make him incredibly fast. He also now doesn't have to rely on his own energy. He can suck it from other living creatures or he can absorb half of an enemy's attack that hits him and fire it back with his own aura. He also will suck a small bit of energy with every slash. He hits the enemy with.

Combat Prowess: Kumori mainly focuses on physical attacks and uses his great speed to do so. He is average at kido but will very rarely and will mainly just use them as distractions.

Kumori if fairly tall about 6ft4in. He has shaggy blond hair that goes into his eyes. His eyes are an unnatural light blue that he made himself. He is known for being quite handsome. He is extremely muscular and works out all the time.
Kumori always wears sunglasses. He usually wears the traditional Shinigami outfit but without sleeves. His captains jacket is very torn and shredded and has blood stains soaked in.
Although his clothes are in terrible condition he always makes sure he him self looks good. His hair neat and nothing on his face. Kumori always has a smug grin on his face.
Personality:
Kumori is a rather cool and collective person. He is very outgoing not shy at all. He is not afraid to tell others what he is thinking. Kumori is extremely smart but very rarely acts it. Unless he is trying to impress someone or annoy someone.
Kumori is always calm and collective. He is very ego centered and thinks very highly of himself. He is very proud of his strength and is very confident in his ability to win. His confidence sometimes goes to far into just arrogance and will cause him to take on impossible odds. Though he will never turn down a challenge or except a defeat.
Kumori's one dream is to become head captain. But for now he his happy where he is. Kumori doesn't take his job as a captain very seriously. The only part that he really cares for is being the strongest. He trains for hours everyday always getting stronger. Although Kumori is a very lazy person when it comes down to assigned work. He is often spends most of the day avoiding captains duties. He much rather be working out or experimenting on something.
Kumroi will often spend his time just goofing off. He loves to play pranks on his squad or other captains. He will often even try to get another captain to quit his work and go goof off with him.
Kumori spends the rest of his time on his love of science. He has his on private lab separate from the rest of the squads. He spends most of his time working in there. Sometimes he will spend weeks in there just working on different experiments. He often uses himself as the test subject. Although he is sane and never tries anything to drastic.
The one thing Kumori loves most is to fight. He will pick a fight with anyone of any strength to get them to battle even allies. In battle he is extremely ruthless and still caries his grin. He will stop at nothing until his enemy is dead or defeated even if it couses him to loose his own life in the process.
Kumori does have one soft spot. That is women. He is a true ladies man and will do anything to impress one. He will spend all day flirting with other shinigami women. He truly hates to fight one and will take it easy one them and sometimes will even let one win fight.

Kumori was born a very normal child. He had a fairly normal family. Even at a young age all Kumori had on his mind were girls. He strives to do anything he could to impress them. He made straight A's, started on almost every sports team. Soon he found his second love chemistry. His life revolved around these two things nothing else really mattered not family not friends. Eventually one day when he was 16 he was in chemistry class mixing his own chemicals. He mixed something wrong and created a giant explosion. It set the class room ablaze and injured many people. Of course Kumori worked on trying to save all the girls. While carrying the last one out the roof caved in and killed him.
Kumori absolutely hated the years he was on earth. His two favorite things were taken away from him. He just sat around being bored. Eventually he got bored he just decided to get stronger.
He worked everyday at it tell he was soul buried. By the time he got to the Rukongai he was already stronger then any of the other spirits. He joined a gang and in no time became the leader. No one knew that he himself had a zanpatou. He led many attacks on Soul Society. Tell one day he set up a trap evolving a hollow he was able to capture. The trap lured a small 1st year academe student.
Kumori watched from the back as the young girl came and slayed the hollow. Then out of no where over a 100 men surrounded the girl and started to attack. In no time she was overwhelmed. Something about this girl touched Kumori's heart and it hurt him deeply to see her in harms way. He quickly jumped into the middle of the group and pulled out his zanpactou. He fought with everything he had and killed every one of the attackers. He stood completely covered in blood from head to toe surrounded by corpses. He just walked picked up the girl and carried her back to the gates of Soul Society. He dropped off the body and left. After a long time of thinking he finally decided to join Soul Society. He could never go back to being a leader after he had just killed so many people. He was a trader and a shinigami. The next day he went and signed up for the shinigami academy. They happily took him in already having a zanpatou.
After what had happened the previous day Kumori was to afraid to go after girls again. He just practiced and trained day in and day out. He was a prodigy and in only a year he managed to graduate from the academy. By now Kumori had gotten over what had happened and was his normal self again. He was instantly drawn to squad 12. He was able to pick back up his other love Science. In only a little amount of time he made his way to 6th seat. Although he was stronger then the person above him he hid his power to stay put. He liked where he was. He knew if he went to far that meant there would be more work. He was just far enough to get to know the captain some so he could sneak into his lab and experiment. Yet he was very proud of his powers and wanted to get stronger. There he stayed for many years secretly getting stronger. Training at night so no one else knew. He eventually started to work on bankai. After working secretly with a captain he managed to achieve it. Yet he still stayed in the same rank. Then one day he met a beautiful noble woman. After hitting on her she told him that he is just weak scum. He made a bet with her that she would have to go on a date if he could become a captain. She took the bet thinking he was just full of it. That same day he challenged his captain to a fight. The captain took the challenge as a way to put Kumori in his place. Just about everyone went to see the fight thinking of it as a joke. To everyone's amazement they fought at equal levels. The captain panicked and went bankai thinking he had surly just one. He was in complete aww when Kumori went bankai. In that second Kumori finished off the captain while he was cought off guard.. No one could believe that he possible one. Kumori just wiped the blood off of his blade and walked away.

He already had a zanpactou the same way Kempachi and Ikakku did. He was strong enough to call on it but didn't want to join SS.
The main reason he was able to make captain so quickly he was a prodigy, That and he cought the captain off guard with his unknown power along with bankai. Allowing him to win where he may have not been able to if the captain had known.
